We are looking for It Systems Manager for our client, global contract logistics company that manages outsourced supply chains and warehousing, based in Milton Keynes

The purpose of the role is to look after day to day systems incident management, manage escalations and assist with the identification and delivery of service support improvement opportunities and programmes

Job Description

Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met:

Providing customer satisfaction through the provision of service excellence and effective communication, where possible reducing system downtime
Acting as a gate keeper function that ensures effective transition of all new services and to have a fully developed end to end support structure to include processes, SLAs, KPIs and OLAs
Ensure that sites IT team is meeting the requirements of our operations and identify areas of improvement
Ensuring that the IT Service Support function continually meets and exceeds expectation regarding incident resolution and service improvement
Ensure secure access to the network for users
To ensure that the hardware and software are running smoothly and any issues with the systems are resolved in the quickest time possible
Review and improve processes ensure all changes are documented and kept up to date
Ensure all direct activities have a relevant standard operating procedure and actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques
Maintain the hardware inventory ensuring currency of information and complete data integrity
Develop and maintain appropriate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance
Project Management: Manage and execute projects to schedule, scope and budget.
IT Service Management – delivery and maintenance of ITSM processes in operations and to manage service performance to defined standards and SLAs
IT Supplier Management – support the management of IT suppliers within area of responsibility
IT Product Management – support the management of IT products within area of responsibility
IT Implementation – support and delivery of IT solutions, services and processes within area of responsibility.
IT Change Management – support and manage all aspects of change and release management, using required predefined tools and processes, for IT systems within area of responsibility
IT Business Development – support business development activity for all new opportunities or CI within area of responsibility
Internal Customer Relationships – manage and co-ordinate relationships and communication with business stakeholders
External Customer Relationships – support communication with external customers as appropriate to support business development and existing operations
Training and Documentation – define requirement for and facilitate creation and maintenance of required IT documentation. Delivery of appropriate IT training to IT team, Super Users and Management team
Define and ensure that IT Strategy and Governance is adhered to

Skills & Experience Required:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience of working in a complex, fast moving environment
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages
Strong track record in IT delivery
Exposure to WMS systems, DLx preferred
Experience using SQL
