K&D are delighted to support our local client based just outside Aylesbury with an exciting new opportunity!! our client are looking for a Dispatch Assistant to work as a direct report to the Transport Manager, previous experience in stores, warehousing, and driving forklift trucks are desirable.
The role is an active one, you will working closely with the Transport Manager insuring that all drivers are loaded & unloaded on time, you will also work closely with stores, and the workshop. The position will require you to be physically fit as there is lots of walking and some lifting of parts etc. You will also need to use a ERP system so previous similar experience required.
What's in it for you? Salary paying between £25-£28K Working Hours – Monday-Friday. 8.00am – 5.30pm Holidays – 22 Holidays per annum plus Bank Holidays (Increasing with Length of Service)
Pension – 4% contribution match flexible approach to long day's with plenty of overtime available.
Key responsibilities: Managing and assisting in the loading/unloading of vehicles and tie-down of equipment including handballing equipment at times. Goods-in & dispatch of hire Plant. Low level office administration. Flexibility to work overtime where necessary (delivery times can vary at short notice) To maintain and improve health & safety in the workplace. All other workshop duties as deemed necessary
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Essential
Can-do attitude. Experience of Loading & Unloading vehicles of Plant machinery. Driving licence. Fork Lift Truck Licence ( any training with all be provided if needed ) Willingness to work overtime when required (for late running deliveries/collections) Resourcefulness, with a high attention to detail. Manual Handling experience. Some computer literacy
