Customs and Shipping Specialist – Milton Keynes

Up to £50,000, Company car and great benefits package

As Customs and Shipping Specialist, you will manage Customs compliance for Bonded facilities in line with HRMC regulations, providing technical support in interpretation of laws/regulations, harmonised tariff codes, country of origin and for the resolution of all import/export compliance issues for the region/country.

You will manage the export & shipping of products, minimising delays within the Supply Chain, and in line with Export/Import regulations.

The role

Manage preparation of Export documentation
Ensure all Exporting shipping documentation is received and recorded as per UK Customs requirements
Manage Importing of all products
Oversee the implementation, testing and delivery of CFSP system
Organise regular reviews with Logistic suppliers on cost and performance for Importing of products
Regularly monitor and audit customs compliance on tariff classification, duty & tax payments.
Maintaining up to date knowledge of import/export legislation, shipping and documentation
Resolve queries arising in relation to CFSP authorisation and Bonded warehouse operations
Maintain a full and accurate audit trail
Support the Supply Chain Manager in smooth running of department, including staff coaching, training, and monitoring performance

Experience required

Managerial experience in import and export compliance
Managerial experience in CFSP & Customs warehouse procedures
Knowledge of all Customs procedures and policy
Expert knowledge in International Trade regulations.
AEO knowledge and experience.
