Our client is looking for Digital Geospatial Engineers to join their growing Geomatics department
Reporting to the Principal Digital Geospatial Engineer and working in close collaboration with Bid Winning and Geomatics Project teams to ensure that all aspects of Digital Engineering are appropriately considered and implemented throughout a Bid/Project(s) lifecycle. Whilst mentoring of staff and leadership of small teams in ALL sectors of the business (Build, Civils, Stadia, Rail/HS2)
We are specifically looking for candidates who want to develop their 3D knowledge (Civils) and help the business develop their Digital Evolution strategy.
Specifically we would like to hear from candidates who have AR and GIS practical knowledge and someone who has been on site.
Requirements:
Must be computer literate AND have 7-10 years minimum CAD experience
Must be able to produce and manipulate 2D drawings
Must be able to generate 3d models (Autodesk/Bentley/Trimble Software)
Must be proficient in the use of CAD software i.e. LSS/Autodesk Civil 3D/Bentley OpenRoads Designer/ Trimble Business Centre
Must understand File types. DWG/DXF/XML/DGN/DTM or TIN.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel software (pivot tables, lookups and other advanced data manipulation tools).
Must have experience in carrying out volumetric analyses and understand earthworks processes
Must be able to read drawings, sections and specifications, and lead conversations describing issues with data and liaise with Architects/Engineers/Client Representatives.
Must have team leadership skills and excellent communication skills.
Must have full driving licence.
The Ideal Candidate:
Should be able to carry out COMPLEX earthworks calc’s.
Should be able to compute and report/communicate volumes (complex site wide muck balance)
Should have excellent problem-solving skills, with willingness to take responsibility for the ‘Digital Bid process’
Should have experience in GIS data manipulation/analysis/reporting
Should understand road/rail corridor model generation.
Should take a proactive approach to learning and professional development (ICE/RICS/CICES).
Should be able to work in a team and dynamic environment.
Could have the following capabilities (as many as possible)
3D Modelling (Scan to BIM)/ Verification.
Drone data processing
BIM/CDE awareness
Familiarity with Trimble hardware/software
Awareness and experience in 3DMC i.e. Loading designs, daily checks, controlling construction depths
CSCS, SSSTS, PTS
