Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a process development / new product / industrialisation background looking to play a key role in the future state of manufacture within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility? Do you enjoy pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in terms of manufacturing innovation, strive for industry 4.0, digitisation, smart production?
If so, this Manufacturing Engineering role working with a team of talented, passionate individuals on leading projects may be for you.
This role will be responsible for process development, defining and implementing new manufacturing methods as well as the tools needed to deliver these and acting as the link between engineering, suppliers and the manufacturing industrial team during the initial stage of new product development.
You will utilise your manufacturing engineering / industrialisation acumen to challenge the design to ensure the most efficient and effective manufacturability, repeatability and sustainability and create the roadmap for industrialisation of parts to meet in the company’s industry 4.0 strategy.
Key accountabilities will include
Taking a lead role in NPI project teams, championing design for manufacture and defining critical components
Continuous Improvement of existing processes and equipment
Automaton of manual processes / CAPEX projects
Identification of new manufacturing innovations to implement as part of the industry 4.0 road map
To succeed in the varied, high visibility role within the business you will have:
A manufacturing engineering / advanced manufacturing engineering / industrial engineering background with proven experience of process development / industrialisation of new products.
Continuous improvement / process development experience
An electro-mechanical assembly manufacturing background working on regulated products (automotive, medical, aerospace, defence or similar)
A working knowledge of modern manufacturing processes (and any exposure to industry 4.0 or smart production highly regarded but not essential)
Proven experience devising advanced manufacturing processes
Experience of designing and implementing volume production lines
Low-medium through to high volume production background
CAD experience highly advantageous
