Warringtonfire, part of Element, has an opportunity for a Technical Officer to join our growing fire resistance and acoustic testing team based at High Wycombe. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a Global Testing, Inspection and Certification business.

Warringtonfire exists to help make certain that the materials, products and processes that we test, inspect and certify for our customers are always safe, quality, compliant and fit for purpose.

You will be tasked with the following;

* Overseeing safe delivery of testing projects

* Liaison with clients to ensure that their testing requirements are fully met

* Working with test Technician teams

* Collaborating closely with technical and certification departments

* Conducting tests in accordance with the requirements, approved procedures and risk assessments

* Preparation of test reports and technical drawings using AutoCAD

* Maintenance of lab equipment

* Providing technical guidance where required or requested

* Delivering the project within the agreed timelines

SKILLS

* Ideally exposure to engineering, building or construction projects

* Qualification in a technical subject or equivalent experience would be desirable but not essential

* Ideally a knowledge of AutoCAD

* Project management experience would be desirable

* Excellent written communication skills

* Demonstrable customer skills, including an ability to establish a quick rapport with visitors and clients

* Good IT skills and can use Office 365 and bespoke CRM systems

* Confident decision maker

* Methodical and measured approach to problem solving

* Able to work extended hours at short notice for certain specific projects

* Can work onsite and get to High Wycombe everyday
