Kenton Black Finance have been approached by a respected and growing Company in the Buckingham area. This business are a brand leader and are expanding to meet the needs of their strong client base. They are therefore interviewing for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their already experienced team. This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated and aspiring Purchase Ledger Clerk looking for their next step in the finance industry.
Your New Role as the Purchase Ledger Clerk:
As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will report directly to the Purchase Ledger Manager, you will be responsible for high volume processing of Invoices and Expenses as well as various ad hoc Purchase Ledger duties. In your role you will be required to learn various jobs within the department as holiday cover/help during busier periods. You will also be supporting the Purchase Ledger Manager with ad hoc day to day duties as required. As part of a busy team, you will be required to code, batch and key invoices onto the system highlighting any special payment terms. In addition, you will run off reports from batches you have entered and checked details. You will also ensure invoices/expenses are fully authorised for payment and within the relevant payment terms, whilst maintaining clear audit trails on transactions. Lastly, you will reconcile supplier statements for the month ensuring figures are updated in time for each month end, requesting copy invoices and following up on any debt chasing letters.
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered, you must possess at least 2 years experience in the Purchase Ledger industry. You will have experience in the following:- processing expenses, supplier statement reconciliations and invoice authorisation and processing. You will have worked on computerised accounting systems and possess good MS Office skills including Excel. You will also have excellent communication skills, as you will be expected to communicate at several levels throughout the business as well as with suppliers on a daily basis via email and telephone. It is also essential that the candidate has high level attention to detail and can produce accurate documents in the minimum time frame possible.
