Project Manager for development of electronic device used in Automotive sector

Location of work: Fully remote working

IR35 status: Outside of IR35

The role:

An electronic/ embedded systems business who specialises in developing products for the Automotive sector require a Project Manager to join their R&D department for an initial 3-month contract which is likely to extend.

You will be working on a new product development of a device that fits on a vehicle and communicates to a vehicles ECU.

In this role you will be customer facing. This will mean speaking to OEM manufacturers to understand their needs and requirements. You will then communicate this information to the Technical Leads who manage Embedded Software, Electronic and Mechanical Design Engineers.

As project manager you will be responsible for driving the project forward ensuring key milestones are met.

If you have experience Project Managing hardware or software developments for mass manufactured devices this would be desirable. Also having experience working on Automotive related projects, or projects involving cost reduction or change management this would be highly beneficial.

Skills required:

Proven Project Management experience
Knowledge of electronic/ embedded software product developmentsDesirable experience:

Automotive sector experience
Worked on product developments which are mass manufactured
Worked on Cost Reduction or Change Management projects
MS Project, Jira experience
Agile
