BM Trada, part of the Element Group, has an opportunity for a Chain of Custody Reviewer/Auditor to join our growing team. Responsibilities
* To undertake audit activities (at client’s premises or desk-based) and other related services in accordance with BM TRADA Certification procedures
* To ensure the audit schedules for defined clients are delivered to plan and in line with target objectives
* To achieve planned personal utilisation levels in line with annual defined targets and objectives
* To produce accurate and timely client reporting and timesheets in line with operational target objectives
* To provide technical support and staff training/mentoring to all parts of the business as required
* To maintain a high standard of service delivery ensuring effective customer relationships are maintained
* To maintain professional status and CPD requirements in accordance with accreditation and business requirements and to develop new audit and product skills as required and requested
* Conduct single and multi-discipline audits, staying away from home as necessary, with high level of detail and information gathering essential
* Complete all audit reports and administration to plan and submit to BM TRADA office as required
* Take responsibility for customer communication and relationships to ensure completion of audits
* Maintain regular reporting and communication with the client to ensure milestones are met on time and budget and advise of any additional opportunities for cross-selling of services and products
* To undertake any other duties as assigned by Head of Audit Resources
* To always operate in accordance with Element’s Purpose, Mission, Vision and Values
* To work in accordance with all Element’s policies procedures and standards as all times
Skills / Qualifications
* Educated to degree standard or equivalent preferably in a forest based or related discipline
* Significant industrial experience in a timber, paper, construction or related industry
* Successful completion of QMS / EMS and/or OHSAS Lead Auditor course or equivalent or CoC/Supply Chain Lead Auditor course
* Qualified 3rd party auditor – undertaking Quality, Environment, Health & Safety audits or CoC/Supply Chain audits
* Health & Safety and/or Environmental qualification (Nebosh or equivalent)
* Working knowledge of additional schemes, for example NHSS, ISO27001 and/or ISO50001
* Professional and confident approach
* Good IT skills and knowledge of systems
* Competent with MS Office applications: in particular MS Excel – to intermediate level
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and oral
* Confident, outgoing and diplomatic, yet firm as necessary along with strong influencing skills
* Ability to take ownership of clients and manage issues to a successful conclusion
* Customer focused, develop strong working relationships
* Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure, positive and effective team player
* Ability and willingness to travel with frequent overnight stays – possibility of overseas work in longer term
