Our client is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to strengthen their UK team to cover the South area including London. A long established company in manufacturing and supplying high quality security systems for over 35 years, They have extensive experience in providing critical communication solutions for staff, patients and service users alike
They are seeking an experienced candidate to oversee and expand the customer portfolio within the defined UK boundaries. Developing relationships at all levels with new and existing customers. Therefore, establishing and strengthening customer loyalty with the aim of developing the accounts being managed.
The responsibilities will include but not be limited to..
Visiting existing and new customers, where applicable in conjunction with the National Sales Manager to assess the situation at their installations, identifying new product/service needs.
Enhance business interactions between the client and its customers.
Identifying new business opportunities, both amongst current and potential customers.
Drawing up business proposals and offers for customers, on the basis of the needs identified – including tenders.
Systematically following up the business offers presented to customers.
Co-ordinating the transfer of the information required for successful on-time and on-budget projects.
Following up customers and their level of satisfaction with the products/solutions procured (new projects and/or service contracts), resolving any possible incidents that may arise.
Co-ordinating and following up any incidents that may arise with your customers, ensuring that they are properly resolved.
Controlling and following up your pipeline in order to ensure results are met in accordance with your sales targets.
Updating the client quotation database in order to follow up customers and for internal reporting.
Delivery of any efficiency innovation for business growth
Provide accurate information for monthly pipeline and preparation of annual business plans, (for own area of operation).
Ensure that any new business opportunities are at an appropriate rate of return and meet the needs of existing customers and emerging markets
To work closely and support the sales department on related matters in their absence.
Specific training, ensuring training resources are fairly and consistently applied.
Meet business needs and develop capability.
Ensure suitable systems and processes are in place to manage compliance with all contractual, undertakings associated with the delivery of each scheme.
Develop specifications for all services and work closely with other parties (including Trust leads) when tendering for the provision of these services.
Explore opportunities to expand services and attract new customers.

Knowledge of the range of products and solutions within the care home and secure healthcare sector.
Sales and market-research techniques, winning and retaining new customers.
Account management – maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers
Knowledge of the decision roles and purchasing power in the healthcare sector.
Delivering sales presentations to high level executives.
High standard of spoken and written English.
Exhibition experience to deliver customer presentations
Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (or similar)Professional Experience
Proven experience in sales, developing business with major customers through the sale of technological solutions within the Healthcare sector, and with an annual managed sales volume of approximately £1m+
Leadership skills with a proven track record of motivational, persuasive and negotiating skills.
Excellent communicator.
