P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a HR Business Partner to join their busy team based in Milton Keynes on a full time permanent basis.
The role will provide leadership, support and deliver best practice human resources to Central Services and Enabling Functions (Finance, Commercial, Marketing & HR) to a client group of +/-800
This will be working across the U.K. Working with the respective Functional Executive Leader and their respective senior leadership teams to develop respective functional people plans supporting the delivery of functional business strategy/plans/projects and functional people priorities. Delivering and implementing core HR processes, with particular focus on engagement and succession/talent management. Leading and representing the Group on various/varied projects. Working across the Group to ensure that compliance requirements (including BILMOG) are met.
Main Responsibilities:
* Analysis of people analytics to identify trends across the business in relation to key people metrics and to work with the business leads to create plans to improve
* Ensuring that strategic change programmes such as Organisation Design, Target Operating Model (TOM) and Ways of Working are planned, delivered successfully and embedded
* Define and develop the talent profile of the respective functions with a focus on capability/skills development and leadership
* Partner closely with Functional Group Directors to identify and develop/retain strategic talent within the Group Central Services and Enabling Functions
* Use contemporary HR practices to develop project people plans to support change and transformation, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness
* Support on all Central Services and Enabling functions talent acquisition, ensuring that recruitment is managed to the Group standards, partnering effectively with Centre of Excellence colleagues where necessary
* Custodian of remuneration strategies within the functions
* Project manage processes including end of year remuneration/bonus processes across the U.K. and client group
* Build relationships and effectively collaborate across HR Group Functions in PLC and Trains
* Continuously work with managers within the Central Services and Enabling Functions to seek ways to reduce the level of long and short-term absence, ensuring that processes and policies are followed
* Work effectively and collaboratively with other HR Partner colleagues to deliver the national functional agendas/projects via the local HR and management teams
* Champion the Diversity & Inclusion, Health & Wellness, and ER agendas.
* Support the management of complex ER cases
* Lead and or contribute to UK wide HR activity / projects including effectively influencing project deliverables so they meet needs and requirements.
* Proactively share best practice, intelligence and potential cross functional activities back into the HR function.
* Take a lead on compliance requirements including the completion and submission of the Group BILMOG working with other HR Partner colleagues to ensure that appropriate reporting of UK wide and local processes and practices.
Person Specification:
Has a successful track record as a HR Generalist/Business Partner within multi-site, service led environments
Experience and understanding of leading and implementing change initiatives and operating in organisation’s going through substantial business transformation and change.
Is motivated by identifying and assessing opportunities for continuous improvement
Is a self starter with a proven ability to gain buy-in and deliver results that add value and fit with the brand values of the organisation
Can flex between shaping the people plan of the business with providing hands on support, helping the business identify issues and improve
Can coach, engage and support, working with multiple stakeholder across the business and the wider Group
Ability to establish rapport and credibility at all levels
Strong influencing and collaboration skills to build effective relationships with all client groups & key stakeholders across the business
Strong analytical skills
Possess the relevant gravitas, credibility and ability to influence at a senior level
Proven track record of managing and evaluating projects effectively
Possess strong employment law/ER knowledge within unionised environments
Is motivated to complete a variety of transactional and administrative routine responsibilities to facilitate the overall HR agenda
Demonstrable experience in the following:
