My Client are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated individual to join the Skilled Service Industries department as an Assessor in Plumbing (Level 3 & Gas qualifications are required) for all three campuses (Aylesbury, Amersham and Wycombe).
The overall requirement of the Assessor/Trainer – Plumbing is to deliver vocational training, assess and verify (where appropriate) College provision to National Standards in a variety of environments, to enable learners to successfully achieve their qualification in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will be required to:
*Regularly visit apprentices and students in the workplace and support them through training, coaching and assessment to meet the required standard.
* To support apprentices from their induction through to their End Point Assessment.
* To complete all Funding Agency and College documentation for learners and employers to support the training programme they are recruited to ensuring funding compliance at all times, including reviews conducted in the workplace.
* Be primarily responsible for the recruitment of employers for apprentice placements and ensure that they are aware of their training obligations. Recruit suitable apprentices to match employer's needs.
* Ensure that set targets are achieved.
* To take part in standardisation activities and attend team and staff meetings as required.
* To attend relevant employer and sector groups to raise the profile of the College and the provisions available.
* To recruit appropriate learners for Training E.g. Apprenticeships.
* To follow recruitment procedures for learners and ensure that initial assessment, advice and guidance is carried out.
* To carry out Health and Safety audits in the workplace and monitor learners' health and safety.
* To ensure the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is completed, updated and maintained for all learners in liaison with curriculum staff and employers.
* To adhere to entry criteria and recruitment procedures for learners and ensure that the results of the learners' initial assessment informs individual learner target setting and is agreed with the employer.
