WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR – OLNEY
Salary negotiable depending on experience
To manage the day to day running of my clients 2x assembly workshops, storage warehouse and the production team. To ensure products are produced to a high standard and delivered on schedule. With technical support from the Technical Manager and Workshop Technical Leader.
Main Duties
− Regular team meetings with workshop operatives
− Planning of production hours allocated to the team build schedule
− Allocation of jobs to workshop operatives
− Ensuring workshop team complete jobs on time in accordance with build schedule
− Assisting workshop operatives with any issues
− Leading our 6-monthly stock take
− Quality control checks of outgoing goods
− Assisting with Quality Assurance (ISO-9001 & ISO-14001) where required
− Ensuring all factory equipment is in good condition and servicing is up to date
− Ensuring calibration gauges are accurate and in date
− Dealing with returned items
− Ensuring the factory is clean, tidy, and well organised
− Ensuring standard operating procedures are current and correct
− Ensuring workshop operatives follow all standard operating procedures
− Monitoring items without stock records and informing buyer of low stock
− Monitoring of consumable parts and advising buyer for re-order
− Overseeing the delivery of parts and ensuring they are put away correctly and allocated into stock program
− Ensuring all scheduled weekly and monthly PPM jobs are carried out
− Ensuring production staff training matrix is accurate and up to date
− Liaising with Contracts Engineers about upcoming and ongoing jobs
− Liaising with Technical Manager regarding any technical matters

Qualifications & Competences
− Good understanding of general engineering practices
− Qualifications in an engineering discipline would be an advantage
− Previous experience in a similar role required (eg. Workshop Foreman, Team Leader, Supervisor, Manager etc.)
− The position will be mainly ‘hands on’ based in the workshop, but with some tasks requiring computer skills also, particularly in Microsoft word, excel etc.
