Client Summary:
My astute Rolling Stock Turnkey Solution client have a heritage of major contracts behind them, a track record in restoring railway carriages with turnkey technology. They are currently working on a project restoring class 323 & 165 vehicles which includes upgrading the complete interiors and underframe of the vehicles. The modernisation of these vehicles includes the interior strip out and refit of rolling stock carriages, which relates to all aspects of the vehicle.

Position Summary:
This role would require individuals apply paint to a high level of finish to manufactured Rolling Stock (trains) or older vehicles under refurbishment. This role will include all the paint preparation and final finish work on various trains. This includes all the masking, keying, primer application (2K), final coats (2K) and polishing out any imperfections to create the perfect finish. This role involves working on very large vehicles / surfaces, so individuals must be able to apply a finishing over a large area and the work is of a physical nature. All of the refresh, refurb work is carried out here so experience in this is a must.
Essential Experience:
*Previous paint finishing experience
*Able to prep and prime
*Be able to refinish
*Be very accurate in applying various different types of livery
*Be able to select the correct tools for varying jobs
*Be able to work safely in an industrial environment
*Be able to work at height
*Be able to follow written work instructions
*Ability to set and use application equipment
Desirable Experience:
*Water based paint experience
*Specific Hydro Topcoat experience would be preferable
*Rail experience
*Ability to mix various different colours and types of paint
*Formal qualifications in paint spraying / vehicle repair
Work Experience:
* Previous experience paint spraying on rolling stock, HGV, PSV, trailers or other large vehicles.
