VDI Analyst, 6-month contract initially with a Major Banking Client in Milton Keynes, Inside IR35 £250 per day

Work within the EUT Product Team, specifically supporting the VDI team. Reporting to the Product Team lead.

The primary role is to support the VDI platform and Infrastructure both in and out of working hours.
Assisting the solution design and execution of the delivery and testing on VDI platforms.
Translating the Technical Architecture into a deliverable solution to meet the needs of the client.
The role holder will have communication with all key stakeholders including Delivery teams, PMO, Corporate Architecture, 3rd Party Vendors and the Bank.

Responsibilities
Work within complex IT environments to deliver clear and concise VDI concepts Demonstrate and present concepts and solutions to senior management and the business in clear and concise manner, that is free from technical jargon. To support the VDI platform and maintain the VDI service to a professional manner. To provide technical guidance to both users and the business and make sure the bank receives value for money. co-ordinate with third parties and other Santander business units to deliver projects when required. The ability to produce concise reports/documentation for other service users and management to follow when required. Change Management – Assesses the business resiliency and continuity impact of proposed technology changes and ensures adequate recovery/risk mitigation practices are integrated while coordinating logical revisions to existing plans and procedures. Providing advice and consultancy on VDI best practices. Having an understanding of the Print Infrastructure environment and be able to support the environment and assist Print Infrastructure team members when required.

Knowledge and skills required:
An outstanding understanding of VDI disciplines in a Business and IT environment Must be able to provide a 3rd line support service to the VDI Service Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage a wide audience
Excellent planning and co-ordination skills with an ability to negotiate and influence technical and business personnel. Must be proactive and a self-starter with ability to work under pressure and with others.
Experience of Project management gained from working within projects and leading projects or work streams Excellent problem-solving ability generating effective solutions to problems of a technical, personal and social nature Proficient in use Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Project is necessary as is the ability to create tables, presentations and reports using these tools. Commercial awareness Service orientated
