Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working alongside this incredible independent school who are looking to appoint a SENCO or trainee SENCO to join this wonderful trusts of schools.
Set in beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Milton Keynes this trust supports pupils from nursery through to secondary ages and offers award winning facilities and the ability for all pupils to exceed in their education. The school has 900 students across all age groups and is well known locally for it's ethos and supportive, individual approach to all learners. The school is looking for a dedicated professional to Co-ordinate the SEN division across the school and work with SLT to ensure all pupils are supported in their learning.
As the SENCO, you will be responsible for maintaining the relationships with parents, teachers and external contacts to ensure the steady progress of pupils with additional requirements. The school itself is a collaborative one, and as such you will find that working alongside the various class teachers and support staff is a seamless and positive experience.
You will also be in charge of the 1:1 Teaching Assistants, all of whom are completely committed to the development and success of their pupils, be it academically, on a pastoral basis or emotionally. There is also the opportunity to work across the trust at a later stage and the head teacher is open to discussing training and development with unqualified SEN professionals in return for permanent contracts and permanent career opportunities.
To be considered for this position you must:
Hold an enhanced DBS for working with children (on the update service), or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
Have a complete 10 year work history
Have the legal right to work in the UK
