Our client in Aylesbury is seeking an Insulation Supervisor to oversee the Thermal Insulation Department on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an industry leading engineering firm in the Motorsport, Automotive and Aerospace sector, our client is seeking an individual with an interest in developing skills in production and engineering.

The Insulation Supervisor is responsible for the Quality, Timeliness and Accuracy of the finished components, supporting the Production Manager in adhering to the Production plan.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing and ability to read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions as this will have a very much 'Hands on' element as well as some Supervisory management experience.

Full training will be provided on the manufacturing side and the role includes preparing materials for the team, including cutting by hand or with a machine, forming materials using appropriate workshop machinery such as fly press, rollers, hydraulic press, air tools and hand tools, spot welders.

Working with thin gauge metallic sheets you will be working to tight tolerances, encapsulating products and carrying out spot welding work.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

* Working with the Production Manager, to define & execute the daily and weekly plan

* Working closely with the Engineering department at the early stages of the new job to facilitate the creation of suitable tooling and help define the manufacturing processes

* Ensure all staff in the department can complete their tasks efficiently and to an excellent quality level

* Attend daily Production meetings to gain an overview of upcoming workload and deliveries

* Be instrumental in training new staff and developing current staff to fully achieve their potential

* Looking at Continuous improvement in the department, new processes, procedures and manufacturing techniques.

Hours of work are 7:30am – 5pm Monday – Friday

Salary upto £35,000, 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays. Opportunities to earn paid overtime. Pension scheme
