Description:

We are currently looking for a Cook to work on a part time basis for a charity in Amersham. The service specialised in helping the elderly and individuals with dementia. Due to the nature of this role being full vaccinated is essential. The ideal candidate must be able to work alternative weekends, in return you will be given the opportunity to work among a friendly and bubbly team.

Job Purpose:

* Good cooking skills.

* Ability to organise a catering environment.

* Basic administrative skills.

* Ability to supervise catering staff.

* Basic nutrition knowledge.

* Knowledge on Food and Hygiene regulations.

* Understanding of Health and Safety regulations including COSHH regulations.

* Experience of HACCP Risk Assessments.

* Good spoken communication skills to relate well to staff and service users.

* Basic written communication skills to leave written instructions and to follow a stock control system.

* Must be able to demonstrate an understanding and awareness of Equality & Diversity.

* Ability to work flexibly, responding to the needs of the service, ensuring that the home has staff cover, 365 days of the year.

* Capability of working in a position that requires manual handling tasks as a core requirement.
