This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known charity based near High Wycombe.
You will act as an ambassador for the charity and role model for the team.
Duties will include, Line Management, Digital and IT Support, Fundraising and Operations.
This is a permanent, full-time role and flexibly to working hours is required. You will work a 37.5 hour week which are worked across a rolling rota covering weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays as well as Bank Holidays.
Duties
* Ensure people engaged with the charity are able to conduct their activities in a safe, secure environment, with effective communications and services to maintain its standards and reputation
* Ensure that the financial and physical resources and assets are utilised effectively and responsibly
* Support the charity in following its mission and values by providing an effective administration service which provides timely support to team members, trustees, co-ordinators, volunteers, and visitors
* Build on the charity’s good reputation by recommending and delivering agreed improvements to existing processes, systems, frameworks, people and performance
* Support the Board of Trustees in achieving effective governance and sustainable operations
* Provide standalone senior site cover for any absence to ensure the effective continuation of activities
* Manage an effective small office team of direct report(s) and volunteers, dealing sensitively and promptly with personnel issues ( i.e. disciplinary, grievance and absence management), when they arise in line with established procedures and in keeping with the values
* Act as a digital administrator, manage and administer engagement on digital services and applications by screening membership requests, coordinating timely output, removing outdated content, and by editing contributions
* Monitor and ensure appropriate standards of language, grammar and spelling are used which are compatible with the welfare standards, mission and objectives
* Be constantly alert to any issues on the charity’s digital services
* Write, tweet, create and post compelling and appropriate content, including the use of complementary images and footage to promote the work of the charity in line with policies, procedures and regulations
* Act as Champion of the IT systems, (including CCTV) and provide immediate first line response to IT queries and issues
* Help grow current fundraising activities as well as initiate, develop and run new fundraising activities across all forums to enhance funding levels. Engage the on-site team, volunteers and supporters in the process
Experience Required:
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Significant experience of providing exceptional customer care to visitors, volunteers and both internal and external stakeholders
* Good experience of providing a valued and supportive administration function
* Experience of managing staff including casework and performance management for disciplinary and grievance procedures
* Experience in engagement across digital platforms promoting and supporting positive engagement
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel & Word
* Experience of generating ideas to raise money for charity and/or of running income generating activities
