Salary: £8.91 per hour
**(additional payment of up to £820 per year based on 3 sleep ins per month)

SeeAbility is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities, sight loss, and a wide range of other needs.Waterside House we support 14 individuals with various disabilities including: visual impairment, autism, physical disabilities, mental health and learning disabilities.
A big part of your role as a support worker will be supporting people to do activities they like and take part in new activities these may include: college courses, arts and crafts, gardening, bowling, trips to the cinema and theatre, shopping, meals out, going to the pub, holidays away, picnics, activity days and many activities we have not even thought of yet!!
As a support worker you will:
Provide emotional support to individuals and their families.
Provide support for individuals, such as helping with household tasks, personal care and paperwork.
Assisting with activities and accessing the local community
Support and monitor their healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks.In this role you will experience behaviours that others may find challenging. With the knowledge and support of the existing team, as well as the appropriate training, you will learn how best to respond to these situations confidently.
