Supervising Social Worker – Homeworking

NonStop Consulting are seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join an Independent Fostering Agency in Thames Valley. This is a permanent, full time position that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

The Company:

This is a well established Fostering Agency that has provided foster placements to children and young people for over 25 years. They provide a range of specialised placements, such as Parent & Child, Children with Disabilities and Asylum Seekers. A bespoke Therapeutic Fostering Service is also offered for young people who have experienced high levels of trauma. The Thames Valley Region has a Good OFSTED and offers a caring, supportive and inclusive working environment. The region extended over the home counties, stretching from Bedford to Reading to Hertfordshire to Milton Keynes and incorporating North and West London.

The Role:

This position will cover an area which includes Luton, Buckinghamshire, Hemel Hempsetd and Milton Keynes. As a Supervising Worker the purpose of your role will be to provide support, supervision and guidance to foster carers. You will complete annual reviews, carry out unannounced visits and participate in the agency's duty rota. You will also facilitate and support foster carer training groups and join the agency's out of hours rota.

Whats On Offer:

In addition to a competitive salary of up to £38,000 the position also a £2000 annual car allowance (plus mileage at £0.45 per mile), private health care, training and development opportunities, employee discounts and 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

About You:

To be considered you must hold a Social Work Degree or equivalent and be able to evidence previous experience of working directly with foster carers, either within an Independent Fostering Agency or Local Authority Fostering Team. As travel to fostering households will be required a full driving licence is required.
