The Programme Grant Manager will be responsible for delivering a Community Renewal funded programme providing a wide range of support to businesses in Buckinghamshire in the Visitor Economy ranging from one to one business support and advice, training opportunities, small grants scheme, carbon benchmarking and stakeholder management coordination. This role can be remote and is 7 months FTC
Key Responsibilities
* To be responsible for the delivery and management of Community Renewal funded programme
* Ensuring the project is robustly managed and kept on target and in line with audit requirements
* To support the set-up of project processes and the recruitment of new staff
* The line management of project staff
* To manage and oversee the diverse aspects of the project ensuring each participating beneficiary is provided a range of opportunities to support their future needs
* To provide close monitoring and reporting of all project activity to the Head of Skills and Business Support / senior management team
* Ensure claims for funding are correct and completed in a timely fashion with the required supporting documentation
* Work closely with external stakeholders and other organisations to promote/add value to the project
* Have a full understanding of the funding guidelines and provide assistance to others on the subject when required
* Establish strong relationships and engage successfully with external partners and colleagues
* Work with other Programme Managers and teams within the company to ensure a high standard of business support provision
* Ensure the CRM is kept permanently up to date with all business-relevant information and reporting
Essential Skills and Experience
* Educated to degree level or qualified by experience
* Experience and understanding of delivering publicly funded contracts
* Proven contract and project management knowledge and experience
* Excellent resource management skills
* Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the barriers to growth, particularly for businesses in the Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure sector
* Experience in managing budgets
* Authority and credibility to build strong relationships and engage successfully with external partners and colleagues
* Excellent numeracy and written English
* A confident and experienced user of IT with a proven ability to use Microsoft Office software incl. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience in providing business advice and support
* Experience of working in the Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure sector
* A good knowledge of Buckinghamshire
