CNC Programmer

An exciting position has become available for a full-time CNC Programmer based in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will earn £40,000 – £48,000.

Reporting into the Technical Manager, this role is pivotal to the growth of the business.

Role Requirements

Time served machinist
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a machine shop environment is essential.
3 & 4 axis HAAS machine experience is preferred.
CAM experience (Alphacam/Powermill) is essential.
CAD experience is preferred.
Good communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Flexible approach to work load and business.
Ability to work under pressure.
Use of Fanuc controllers would be beneficial.
City and guilds in mechanical engineering or equivalent would be beneficial.
Role Responsibilities

Use CAM programming software (Powermill) to produce programs for both 3 & 4 axis milling machines.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical diagrams.
Set and operate 3 & 4 axis HAAS machines where required.
Liaising with team leaders and shop floor staff to highlight any technical issues or potential risks.
Help drive technology and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques.
Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
