Climb Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading, Milton Keynes based, manufacturer of safety fuel cells who are looking for a talented Production Planner to join their growing team.
Job Purpose
*
To liaise with and escalate to the Directors to ensure milestones for key projects are understood and any at risk projects are communicated.
*
To liaise with the relevant department managers to ensure the day-to-day priorities are understood to enable work to be completed as per the schedule.
*
Maintain all schedule documents to ensure they reflect current production stages.
Main Duties
*
Liaise with the Directors to promote the continual improvement of the planning system.
*
Work with department managers to ensure that all live routes are kept up to date and reflect the current Planned vs. Actual report justifying deviations where required.
*
Monitor project progression and raise due-date accomplishment concerns to the Directors where necessary.
*
Ensure effective daily resource allocation is carried out to allow the best opportunity for due-date accomplishment.
*
Liaise with relevant department managers about issues throughout the day, ensuring communication is maintained and projects are pushed through to the next department efficiently.
*
Ensure Works Orders are generated in time for the work to start in the relevant department and their respective operations kept up to date. Ensure any changes are communicated through the correct channels.
*
Analyse the Resource Usage Forecast to ensure Department Managers are aware of any potential concerns.
*
Manage MRP, planning and Works Order production for all internally manufactured items;
*
Become fully versed with the planning system in order to train all users where required.
*
Key account management for the Directors where required.
Responsibilities & Competencies
*
Responsible for ensuring that all projects get completed on time through effective resource management
*
Responsible for generating Works Orders in line with the project plan
*
Responsible for ensuring that the project plan reflects current live data
*
Must be able to assist with the communication of delays and issues throughout the business
*
Someone with both academic and work experience in a computing discipline, qualified with at least 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including English and Maths. It would be a distinct advantage if you hold an A-level in computing or higher and hold either a CompTIA or Microsoft Certified Professional qualification.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week – 8am to 5pm
Annual Salary
£32,000 to £35,000 Depending on Experience
