Passive Fire Surveyor

The Company
• A leading specialist fire safety consultancy are looking to recruit a Passive Fire Surveyor to work on a range of projects which includes: councils, hospitals, care homes & schools.
• The role is to offer building solutions including surveys, installation and maintenance for cladding, fire doors, dampers, emergency lighting, sprinklers, fire curtains and many more.
• Service and installs are UK wide and due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Surveyor to join the team.

Duties of the role:
• Survey existing buildings to determine their condition, identify and analyse defects, including proposals for repair in order to meet relevant safety standards
• Complete surveys within set timescales
• Accurately assess and record defects and provide clear remedial notes for sales team
• Carry out health check inspections, asset labelling, and write up reports for these as required
• Survey installations if required
• Report to Health check Manager on a daily basis
• Provide technical support with regards to properties
• Utilise knowledge of the buildings to assist the Project Manager

Skills:
• Knowledge of current fire safety regulations
• Technical knowledge and competence
• Logical and practical mind
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good IT skills and competent in the use of MS Excel and Word
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Ability to analyse problems in order to identify solutions
• Driving licence
