Job Description:
The role is working in a warm, welcoming and friendly care home in the town of High Wycombe, providing residential care and support for up to 30 older people and people living with dementia. All residents are treated as individuals, taking into consideration their privacy, dignity and confidentiality whilst encouraging self-independence, giving support and assistance when required. We are looking for a Registered Manager to lead the home, creating an environment that promotes dignity and independence and striving for excellence through the highest standards of care. The right candidate will be pragmatic in their approach and be able to balance running a caring and empathetic service alongside achieving business results.
As Registered Manager you will hold overall responsibility for the home shared with the Deputy Manager and will play a key role in ensuring that the company's high standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the service. You will ensure our residents receive great quality care in addition to ensuring compliance and KPI's are met in all areas including quality, people, care, occupancy and financials. Strong people skills and a good understanding of the needs of people with dementia are important.
Registered Manager Skills/ Experience:
NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care minimum or Registered Managers Award
Experienced in a residential care environment, you will be able to demonstrate a track record in leading, motivating and managing staff to deliver a high standard of care and support is provided to the service users.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferably 2 + years of managerial experience within care, Deputy Manager's looking to progress their career will also be considered.
Good knowledge and understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding procedures and best practices of care.
Registered Manager Duties will include:
Overall responsibility of the care home shared with the Deputy Care Home Manager
The day-to-day management of the Home according to the policies and resources determined by the Employer and the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 & 2012 and subsequent amendments.
Staff management, appraisals and training
Maintenance of a suitable record keeping system which will be available as necessary by any authorised personnel
