Permanent role- long term investment
Location: Business are based in Milton Keynes and will be largely home based
Salary £50,000- £65,0000

This is a brilliant opportunity for a SQL SERVER Developer Data Developer/ Data Engineer to join these financial payments company as they invest in their Data team.

This will be a stand-alone role, where you will have sole responsibility for the SQL Server database, and you will have the opportunity to really create something for yourself and build this up from scratch.

This is a small company, so the impact you will have been so much bigger, and your role will have a broader range of responsibility.

Technical stack

SQL Server
SSRS Reporting system- this will be being turned into something new
PL/ SQL
Postgres

Day to day will include

SQL Server Stored procedures
Writing, optimising, merging and reporting on the data
Supporting applications on the cloud
Data replicati on, data performance tuning
You will also be talking to all different elements of the business, as different data talks to different people
Building relationships across the business to understand their data needs, including technical and non-technical staff

Long term opportunity

As this is a stand-alone role, as the Data Engineer your role will be broad and varied. You will also be the key voice delivering the long-term data strategy you will helped to devise
As this is a small, growing company, longer term they expect you to help build up a database team,
You will also be working with the data engineers with 3rd parties and in offsite partner companies
