Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Remote with occasional onsite visits – £50k-£60k

A leading engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic systems for data analytics within the automotive industry are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join the team due to continued growth and success with multiple products scheduled for release over the next few years.

You will be responsible for the development of new applications, as well as supporting and enhancing existing features. The company envisages that this role will be remote in the long term too, with occasional onsite visits on an ad-hoc basis near their Milton Keynes based site.

Requirements:

* Working knowledge and experience of the software development lifecycle

* Strong programming experience with Embedded C/C++

* Experience working with real-time systems. FreeRTOS experience is advantageous.

* A good understanding of electronics, comfortable reading schematics, datasheets and using standard equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters etc.

Desirable:

* Experience with Embedded Linux.

* Experience with video or image processing solutions

* Experience with CANbus
