RECRUITMENTiQ is working with a local Parish Council that serves a population of 10,500 and has a constitution of 17 Councillors to assist with their recruitment of an experienced Clerk.
We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated Clerk who is experienced in all hands-on duties covering the work of this large, progressive Parish Council, which is committed to serving the local community.
Skills and Experience
Certificate in Local Council Administration – CiLCA.
Have excellent administration, IT and communication skills, along with experience in staff management and people management.
Knowledge of the local area would also be an advantage. To be successful in this role you will need to have experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally as a council clerk and be educated to a degree level. You will have excellent communication skills, have an understanding of governance information and be able to manage confidential information.
You will also need to be IT literate with experience in using Microsoft Office packages, be proficient in the use of patient administration systems and have strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and manage your workload within guidelines.
