As a PMO & Resource Manager, you will lead the Project Management Office (PMO), sitting within the Technology & Data function (department). The PMO team service the Portfolio and Project Delivery governance requirements for the change roadmaps as well as other supporting services to the department. Ensuring Technology & Data delivery is in line with corporate guidelines, business targets and strategic objectives.
This role manages the reporting, communication, governance processes, and maintenance of the Project Portfolio & Agile Roadmaps of change. Managing the end to end process of demand capture, project lifecycle, governance gates and execution processes. PMO is responsible for defining, controlling and promoting adherence to the methodologies, standards, templates, and policies related to project delivery. Providing a point of expertise and guidance in their application across a range of projects.
Responsibilities of our PMO & Resource Manager:
Manage, improve and execute the governance processes that relate to project and agile delivery change.
Critically examine PMO services and review them against business priorities in order to implement improvements to the delivery methodologies, tools, supporting processes and training packages.
Support the Technology & Data Leadership team with analysed data, information, impact assessments and reporting for the purpose of decision making.
Create and deliver a full range of reporting, including Financial, Portfolio, People (Resource) and BAU to Technology & Data Leadership and Business stakeholders, scheduled and ad-hoc.
Support Technology & Data Leadership and Business stakeholders with Portfolio and resource data to enable prioritisation.
Support the Project Approval process including the appraisal of financial requirements with a view on the anticipated benefits. Follow up on the business case and post go live benefits realization
To support the management of dependencies between projects, and enabling the Technology & Data Leadership to understand the associated risks and ensure that mitigation plans are being managed and escalated appropriately.
Provide a training service to the project management community including scheduling, development, resourcing, delivering and follow up of formal and informal training.
In collaboration with Learning & Development enhance the Learning Portal with relevant content on change delivery methodologies.
Our ideal PMO & Resource Manager will also have the following skills and experience:
Qualification or accreditation (PMP, ITIL) would be an advantage
Industry experience in Retail, FMCG or eCommerce would be an advantage
Technology experience in managing IT projects based Portfolio with significant business change would be an advantage
Fluent knowledge of English, spoken and written. Other language skills (Dutch, German, Spanish, French and/or Italian) would be a distinct advantage
Entrepreneurial attitude, good understanding of different cultures and willingness to travel
In depth experience of managing a Project Portfolio valued at €15m +
Strong knowledge and proven experience of project management processes, tools, performance measures and metrics
Experience developing, implementing and running Portfolio & Project processes in multiple methodologies; planned-based and Agile
Exceptional communicator, to lead your team, influence wider Project Delivery team, Leadership groups and wider business
Experience managing PPM tooling & 3rd party supplier
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak and write about technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences
