Our client, is a public distance Learning & Research University and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit an experienced People Business Partner to provide vital support to their People Services Team. This role is to start asap for 3 months. This role is currently working from home, with one day in the Milton Keynes office and equipment will be supplied.
This role is paying between £21.91ph – £26.14ph, (£42-£50,000pa) dependent on experience, working a 37hr week.
The PBP acts as the interface between People Services and units and faculties. You will provide high quality, business focused and strategic level advice, guidance and support to the Head of Unit and their management team.
Key Duties:
A trusted partner and active member of the business unit leadership team, contributing to and influencing the development of the unit agenda and strategy, providing challenge and consulting support for short, medium and longer term objective planning. Ability to use a coaching style and engage Senior stakeholders, quickly building credibility through professional effectiveness and using personal experience of being an influential partner on strategic projects.
Provide leadership on the people aspects of business plans and provide input, influence and solutions on people and organisational issues including resourcing,capability build, talent and development, reward, organisational design, change management, employee relations, performance management and employee engagement.
Skills and Experience:
Educated to degree level or vocational equivalent with the credibility and the ability to influence at senior levels.
Current and best practice OD knowledge with experience working with: talent development and organisation design, reward, change and performance management, employee engagement, bid preparation and mobilisation support. Extensive experience in the delivery of OD service to autonomous business units in a complex, multi-functional organisation and to deadlines.
Strategic business partnering background operating as a true commercial partner through the delivery of value added activity.
