Salary: £33,500 plus £7,400 in bonus

Our prestigious and award-winning client is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant within a Top 10 global business.

The main purpose of the Assistant Financial Accountant is to support, own and drive the financial accounting requirements of the department. Reporting to the Company Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of payroll for both UK and Ireland, cash flow management and management of the daily banking transactions into our ERP system. This individual will also be responsible for the delivery of month end tasks and reconciliations, ensuring they are completed on time and quality as well as taking ownership of document maintenance and retention.

Key Responsibilities

* Monthly processing of payroll for both UK and Ireland staff

* Orchestrate weekly/monthly meetings that ensure the integrity of the rolling cashflow forecast

* Reporting all transactions accordingly in line with compliance and tax jurisdictions

* Monthly reconciliations & posting of any adhoc payments/receipts

* Responsible for the approval of new customers and the assignment of credit limits

* Delivery of month end requirements on time and quality. Including accruals and prepayments, inter-company reconciliations and GR/IR

* Preparation of supporting documentation and overviews to support group reporting and the annual statutory audit

* To provide cover to the Financial Accountant and support on any process improvement opportunities

* Provide cover for Financial Accounting deliverables

Essential Requirements

Minimum AAT qualified

Can demonstrate effective change and process improvement

Excel (Advanced)

Understanding of banking software

SAP expertise ( desirable)
