Senior Civil Engineer – Buckinghamshire

We’re currently working with a well-established Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy who work on a range of private and public financed project throughout the South East. Due to an increased workload, they are looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer, ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership, to join their Civils team.

The Role

They are looking for someone with multiple years’ experience in a Senior Civil Engineer position within a small to medium sized practice. The role will involve working on multiple jobs simultaneously in both design and the undertaking of forensic building defect surveys and report writing. You will be working alongside a close-knit team of engineers, as well as being able to work alone on projects from start to finish.

With ongoing growth, this is an excellent opportunity to progress to an Associate Partner role playing a key role in developing the team, mentoring engineers to become Chartered and providing support to the Partners in the running of the practice.

Requirements

– Multiple years’ experience in a Senior Civil Engineer position within a small to medium sized practice

– Chartered (MICE) or working towards Chartered status

– Ability to manage projects from start to finish

– Experience in design and undertaking forensic building defect surveys and report writing

– Excellent communication and client-facing skills

– Must be self-motivated, confident and hard working with a drive to succeed

– Experience managing and mentoring junior engineers
