Accounts Assistant

Permanent

£23,000 – £25,000 per annum

Bletchley, Milton Keynes

Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to work from their offices in Bletchley. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for both sales and purchase ledger on behalf of the company, plus assisting as required with other administration and customer facing duties.

Sales ledger including customer invoicing, monthly statements, credit control, banking.
Purchase ledger including inputting invoices, reconciling supplier statements, monthly BACS payment run, quarterly VAT returns, daily bank reconciliations, specific balance sheet account reconciliations.

Other duties and resonsibilities will include:

Maintaining a high level of accuracy and diligence across all areas of work including filing, data entry, and communication.
Conforming to relevant law and HMRC regulation as applicable.
Raising queries and any doubts regarding information quality or compliance immediately.
Ensuring a clear audit trail exists for all transactions.
Double checking input from other members of the team where appropriate.
Working to communicated accounts timetable and ensuring information is obtained in a timely manner from third parties.

To be a successful Accounts Assistant, you must have:

Experience of using SAGE and Xero would be advantageous.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
A 'can do' attitude and a willingess to work as part of a team.
