This is a full time, permanent position.
Our client, highly successful and established for well over 30 years, is looking to recruit a Senior Cleanroom Operative. Reporting to/assisting the Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring all quantity/quality/delivery targets are achieved within agreed timescales, thus ensuring the continued needs of customers being met (both internal and external).
Training Plan:
A general introduction to the company will be given by the Operations Manager and Office Supervisor and a training schedule devised to meet the needs of the individual. This will include the use of the computer system and relevant software packages.
Working Conditions:
Cleanroom: controlled temperature and with a consistently clean working area
Solvents: use of various solvents
Protective Clothing: provided by the company and in line with company cleanroom procedures
Key Duties will include:
* Carrying out production operations, including assembly and use of light industrial equipment and hand tools, in line with the Product Specification, Company and Quality work methods and within any specified time constraints
* Working with the Office Supervisor to organise the cleanroom/cleanroom resources efficiently (both people and equipment) to achieve production output/quality/on-time delivery of medical products according to company standards/procedures.
* Supervision of individual batches from start to finish, including completing all paperwork and production of First Off ready for QA approval
* Undertaking the Hourly Walk Round to ensure ongoing production standards are being met
* Guiding Cleanroom Operators on the documented scrap/reject criteria and recording instances of both accordingly in the batch paperwork
* Allocation/creation of cleaning rotas/duties for scheduled cleans
* Ensuring all production batch/test records are completed accurately
* Working within the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
* Working within the Company’s cleanroom procedures, including gowning, hand washing and cleaning
* Assisting with on job training for new starters
* Undergoing training to meet the Company’s requirements
* Assisting the Office Supervisor in the development of team culture and achievement of individual/team goals and objectives that support the Company Business Strategy
* Production operations, including assembly and use of light industrial equipment and hand tools
* Monitoring Production: visual checking and daily/weekly/monthly clean downs
* Standing for long periods
* Moving products/materials on work trollies
* Any other reasonable tasks allocated by the Directors of the Company
Special Requirements:
* Previous experience of cleanroom production, assembly and test methods, preferably in the field of medical devices
* Previous experience with managing/leading teams of people (desirable)
* Good literacy/numeracy skills with good understanding of the English Language in order to read/understand/follow basic production documentation
* Visual and manual dexterity to perform production operations, including assembly work
* Ability to handle light, industrial equipment and hand tools
* Good keyboard skills
* Well-presented as well as physically/mentally fit
* Meticulous attention to detail with a strong work ethic
* Good organisational and communication skills
