Are you an experienced Service or Maintenance Engineer who craves a job where you get to travel the world and have to stay away abroad 50% of the time? A great opportunity working for a SME British manufacturer of packaging machinery supplied to the food, chemical & pharmaceutical markets.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £40,000 Base
 
BENEFITS:
· Overtime to earn £8,000
· Provision of rental car when required and ALL travel expenses covered
 
LOCATION: Factory based and commutable to Bedford but you will spending 50% of your time travelling and staying abroad for mostly one week trips worldwide but mostly in Europe.
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Bedford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Luton, Northampton, Huntingdon
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Engineer / Maintenance Engineer – packaging machinery / PPMA
 
A classic Field Service Engineer role involving repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of packaging machinery supplied to the food, chemical & pharmaceutical markets in the UK & Worldwide but mostly in Europe. This role will involve spending 50% of your time working abroad on client sites usually in one week trips so only occasional weekend work required.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer / Maintenance Engineer – packaging machinery / PPMA
 
· You MUST have a proven track record as a Field Service Engineer OR as a Maintenance Engineer with hands on experience of packaging or process machinery used with the food, chemical or pharmaceutical markets.
· You will be able to fault find (and program after training) on Siemens &/or Allen Bradley PLC`s.
· You MUST be able & willing to travel and stay away abroad for 50% of the time with the remainder spent at the factory or working with UK clients.
· You WILL be a qualified Electrical & Electronic engineer ideally to HNC standard.
