Sales engineer / area sales manager is required to join a fluid handling supplier. The sales engineer / area sales manager will cover the North of England and Scotland.

The successful sales engineer / area sales manager must have experience selling Mechanical equipment ideally relating to fluid handling / fluid transport or rotating equipment ( pumps, valves, compressors etc ).

This role would suit an internal sales engineer looking to go external or a graduate with sales experience.

Responsibilities

Working internally for the first few weeks to learn products, progressing to an external role with the support of a regional manager

Provide support on a range of mechanical engineering solutions to the fluid transfer market

Develop relationships with and liaise with customers providing quotations and technical advice

Identify and penetrate new markets and potential clients.

Requirements

Experience as a Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager is essential.

Experience mechanical equipment is necessary

Have previously sold into industrial or transport markets.

Technical engineering / mechanical qualification would be advantageous but not necessary
