Working as a Fleet Ambassador for a busy logistics company your main responsibility will be to ensure that all vehicles and the depot itself are up the necessary legal and health and safety standards. You will have a checklist of things you need to inspect on an iPad which you will carry with you during the shift.

Duties:

Conducting internal audits of the depot
Checking and accounting for all 3.5t and 7.5t vehicles that enter the premises
Check if all the vehicles comply with legal requirements by the government to be roadworthy
Getting vehicles off road if they do not meet the requirements
Issuing 21-day notice to drivers to fix their damaged vehicles
Start and end of contract of vehicle handovers to driver or service providers
Conducting key audits for spare keys of the vehicles
Extracting Taco reports from the 7.5t vehicle unit and downloading it on Taco master
Updating and printing of Taco reports on weekly /monthly basics
Making sure all vehicles are serviced and MOT up to date by reminding the drivers do so
Booking PMI services for 7.5t every 8 weeks
Reporting damages of Fleet vans and getting them fixed
Checking correct uniforms are worn with corresponding van colors with safety shoes and high visibility vest when in the warehouse
Conducting gate auditsPre-brief duties:

Handing over scanners to drivers after scanning the bar code against their name to record any loss or damages
Providing drivers replenishments of leave safe cards/carding cards /left parcel with neighbor cards
Maintaining driver profiles and checking that they have no point on their licenses on a weekly basis
Signing in / signing out drivers on Taco maters
Answering driver queries and helping drivers find correct address when on road if no information is provided on the parcels
Attending phone calls by customers and helping with redelivery requests
Booking ad hoc collections for customers when required
Checking for signature disputes when parcel has not been received by the recipient
Adding notes on to the system to track the progress of any disputes
Interviewing drivers and asking them to retrieve the parcels and maintaining PODShifts

Shift time is 05.30am – 11.30am.

You will will require good communication skills and a keen eye for accuracy, you need a can do attitude and more importantly self-motivation and a want to do a good job working at pace.

This will be an ongoing position which could lead to permanent employment.
