Business Development Manager (Field Sales), Telematics
A market leading company with a whole range of products and services geared towards the small and medium fleet sectors and present across 5 continents, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (field based) to cover the South of the UK.
Our client provides user friendly software that gives vehicle-tracking information to over 250,000 business users worldwide. Vehicle hardware ranges from self-install devices to self-powered stolen asset trackers.
What will you be doing as a Business Development Manager?
Selling the product portfolio across your territory in a field / remote based role
Achieve set monthly and quarterly sales targets including:
Develop strategic understanding of our customer base including size, turnover, key stakeholders and business strategy
Positively promote and upsell the Telematics product portfolio
Work closely with our product specialists and implementation team on all new customers – ensuring their journey from prospect to customer is seamless and professional
Develop an excellent understanding of the internal sales process
To have commercial acumen and maximise on the profit of each deal
Mange and set clear expectations to customers – always look to exceed expectations
Demonstrate accuracy when completing all paperwork
Ensure the account handover process is followed diligently
Ability to hold and professionally structure internal and external meetings
What skills and experience are we looking for?
Previous field sales experience, ideally in B2B sales
Proven to be excellent at self-generating new business
Previous experience working within telematics or logistics is advantageous
Flexibility towards company requirements
A positive, ambitious and committed approach
