The Company
One of the leading national contractors with a strong regional presence, they specialise in a range of commercial new build projects across the health care, education and industrial sectors.
The Project
A new build school, value circa £35mil. Traditional build with modern facilities. 70 week duration.
The Role
As the Logistics Manager on the project, reporting into the Site Manager, your role will involve but not be limited to.
Full responsibility in tasking labourers & gateman to work & making sure
they are busy
Full responsibility for arranging deliveries with sub-contractors
Full responsibility for arranging lay down areas with sub-contractors
(Liaise with SM on this).
Organising slots with sub-contractors to use the forklift.
Skip delivery / collection (mixed waste & plasterboard).
Delivery board co-ordination.
Locking site up at night
Updating traffic management & logistic plans.
Involved in 3 o'clock supervisor meetings for following day.
Manage, plan and co-ordinate pedestrian walkways & red barrier
entrances/exits.
Hoarding perimeter checks.
Weekly WES point checks.
About You
You will have gained circa 3+ years experience working in a similar role.
Be immediately available
Have the correct CITB and First Aid qualifications for the position (CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid)
Good level of IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages.
Strong organisational skills with proven time management skills.
