An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainer to work within an award-winning digital services organisation that values its employees. As Trainer you will work within the Operations department and the successful candidate will be responsible for the training of all users on their technology platforms.
The role is customer facing based in our clients offices in Milton Keynes. The Trainer plays a key role in the delivery products to customers. Success in the role will be defined, not only by your ability to understand the training content in the context of a user’s needs, but also your skill in flexibly adjusting your approach depending on the audience, the situation, and the objectives of the overall business relationship. The other aspect of this role will be to assess and deliver a training programme for internal staff to help with their personal development plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering training sessions to client and supplier users, through classroom interactive sessions, classroom walkthrough demos, webinars and any other means required
* Creating, reviewing and updating training collateral for clients, suppliers and internal staff
* Developing and proposing new training approaches and process improvements in line with developments in training methodologies and technologies
* Constantly improving the efficiency of these training approaches and ensuring training systems are managed and developed to guarantee maximum value to the software users
* Demonstrating measurable impact and value of the training function to the overall business via monthly reporting
* Managing internal resource within the business to ensure all training is delivered to a high and consistent standard
* Assisting and co-ordinating the internal staff training programme across the business
* Responsible for 1 direct report, Trainer, who is an existing employee of the company.
Essential Skills:
* Experience in the training field, learning and development
* Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
* High level of confidence in delivering of content to large audiences
* The drive to continuously improve the training process
* Very strong verbal & written communication skills
* Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in MS Office Suite
* The ability to vary one’s approach depending on the training audience
* The ability to understand a user’s perspective and how the system needs to work for them
* A strong willingness to learn and develop
* The flexibility to travel to clients across the UK on a regular basis
Desirable:
* CIPD qualification or similar
* Previous experience in training on software systems
