The role is made up of two elements:
Senior Forwarder Element
* Ability to lead local team in absence of the Operations Manager
* Train new team members to company standards, customer service and job duties
* Provide effective communication to team members, supervisors, management, and customers
* Maintain strong working knowledge of the company, it’s processes/products/services
Forwarder Element
* Cost control
* To collate and supply shipment information to the customer, branch staff and Account manager
* To liaise with LHR Branch on administrative tasks where necessary
* To organise transport by air, road & sea
* Completion of Dangerous Goods paperwork for all modes of transportation
* Data Entry via operational system
* Data entry via Excel spreadsheets
* Filing of paperwork
* Completion of Export Documentation
* Follow strict and time sensitive SOP’s/KPI’s to ensure compliance
* Remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships
* High level focus on customer service
* Month end department compliance
* Resolve queries from customers and suppliers
* Ensure Best Practice models are adopted
* Assist sales and management with customer development
* Maintain clean desk policy
* Operate within companies QA system
* Any other tasks as directed by their Supervisor or line manager
Senior Forwarder Element
* Minimum of 5 years operational experience
* A high level of customer service knowledge
