Here at Paterson Health and Social Care, we are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or suitably experienced RNLD, for one of our very established clients in Birmingham.
Positions offered are full time and permanent and our client currently have 2, long term, complex care, mental health inpatient units, with a third opening soon.
All the units are for males who have long term complex care and mental health needs.
Salary starting at £30,200 rising in increments to £34,438
Shifts are: Long Days, working on a 2 week pattern of Week 1, 3 long days, Week 2, 4 long days
As a RMN you will look after the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients providing them with the quality care that they deserve. You must be a hands-on nurse, someone who is capable of leading from the front and making independent decisions when required. As well as being calm under pressure as there will be times when on the spot decisions will need to be made and we need someone who will be pro-active in spotting potential issues. You will build relationships and change the quality of life for people who have been detained under the MHA

The role of a Registered Mental Health RMN
The successful candidate will assess and plan nursing care requirements. Take patient samples, pulses, temperatures, and blood pressures. Write records. Maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available. Ensure the ongoing safety of residents, staff, and visitors. Administer prescribed medicines. Organise workloads and provide support to patients and relatives of patients.
