This is a permanent position.

Our client, a supplier of products for the construction industry (established for over 20 years and a solid, growing business), is seeking a warehouse operative to join their growing team.

Duties of the role will include:

• Receiving goods inwards from UK and Continental suppliers
• Putting stock away
• Entering goods received on internal computer system
• Packing goods for despatch
• Driving a forklift (useful but not essential)
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

• Previous experience within a warehouse environment
• Good IT skills with experience working on company systems
• Reach and Counterbalance Forklift certification (advantageous but not essential)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to work well within a team
• Honest, reliable, dedicated and flexible in approach
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong work ethic
• Must be organised and able to prioritise
• Physically and mentally fit
• Clear understanding and appreciation of health and safety procedures
• Full UK driving license
