Field Service Electrical Engineer Position Overview

I am currently looking for a Field Service Engineer for a special purpose machinery supplier based in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will be involved in machine and panel wiring and also the decommissioning and installation of new and used machinery.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible with travelling across the UK and sometimes internationally for several days at a time. Predominately a Monday-Friday role however the occasional weekend shift is expected and paid at an increased overtime rate.

Travel would be 80% across the UK and 20% based on site on Milton Keynes, roughly 80% of the time you would be travelling.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out commissioning and electrical wiring / rewiring of new and used machinery at customer facilities.
Assisting the Installation and set-up of production machinery on customer sites.
Working as part of a team in decommissioning of old machinery
Fault-finding on programmable logic controllers
Carrying out in house wiring on machinery in preparation for installation

Field Service Electrical Engineer Position Requirements

Experience within an Electrical Service or Maintenance Engineering position
Knowledge and / or experience working on Production Machinery
PLC Fault Finding knowledge is desirable but not essential
Panel / Machine wiring experience is essential
Must be able to travel across the UK and internationally, with occasional nights away
Based in a commutable distance of Milton Keynes

Salary up to £16 per hour – Dependent upon experience
