Are you looking to settle within a business that has a high staff retention rate? Our Milton Keynes client is looking for a good all-round accountant to take responsibility for one of the smaller companies within the group. This is a hands-on role that reports to the Financial Controller, duties include:

* Multi-currently bank reconciliations

* Processing purchase invoices, including payments runs and resolving queries

* Sales ledger administration

* Preparation and posting of accruals journals

* Reconciliation of inter-company transactions

* Preparation and submission of VAT Returns including Intrastat

* Month end reporting

* Liaising with auditors

* Supporting the Financial Controller as required

The ideal candidate will have held a similar position previously, have a “hands-on approach” and want to be part of a small friendly finance team. They will have good systems skills including Excel, excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

Remuneration

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000

Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid office/home working

Holidays: 24 days plus statutory days

This position is based in Milton Keynes and commutable from Northampton, Towcester, Leighton Buzzard, Houghton Regis, Dunstable, Bedford and Luton
