A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Milton Keynes site. As an experienced Transport Planner you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained. The role will be on a permanent night shift; 4 on 4 off.

As a Transport Planner you will assist with the day to day running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You will ensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOT'd before being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues that arise during a route.

The right candidate will have similar experience in a transport environment; ideally with knowledge of containers. Ideally the person will be confident; strong communicator and able to work under pressure. It would also be an advantage if you have worked with Transport Software.

The role will be based in their Milton Keynes depot and the working hours will be on a 4 on 4 off night shift; 6pm – 6am. Some flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role in logistics and start and finish times may adjust slightly. On offer is a salary of £30,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience as well as a number of company benefits. Additionally there is a salary increase of up to £6,000 per annum following completion of a successful probationary period
