A well-established specialist manufacturer has an opportunity for a highly organised Management Accountant, to grow with the business and provide meaningful analysis and support to finance and senior management team. As the sole charge Management Accountant, reporting into the Managing Director, the day to day responsibilities will be:

Production of management accounts
Calculate accruals and prepayments
Prepare monthly expenditure analysis
Maintain fixed assets
Interrogate stock reports and ensure accurate figures for management accounts
Analyse aging of stock
Assist with preparation of cost of production for each new product to ensure all overheads are recovered
Cost accounting
Monitor budgeted costs of production against actuals
Prepare variance analysis between standard and actual
Review product margins for each customer
Monitor receivables, payables and cash flow
Reconcile bank accounts, maintain petty cash log & manage credit card expenditure
Suitable candidates will be actively studying for an accountancy qualication (ACCA / CIMA) or have passed some examinations and be looking to develop and grow with a business that will match your aspiration. You will be have experience of producing management accounts, ideally in a physical product environment involving stock and/or production. There will be an element of systems development involved in an underutilised manufacturing system that can be instrumental in improving the quality and availability of reporting, so exposure in this area would be advantageous
