We have been in business for 27 years, we serve over 250 active customers who represent a wide array of UK manufacturing industries – from lab equipment to special purpose machinery to warehouse equipment and many other Industry sectors.

The CNC Router Operator is a key part of our Production team. Initially learning to operate CNC Routing Machines of various sizes. Then over time the position will also incorporate learning to operate CNC Laser Machines.
As a CNC Router Operator you will need to be reliable and hard working with a good level of communication skills. The role requires the setting up and operating our range of CNC machines (full training will be given) including loading and unloading of raw materials, basic machine maintenance and record keeping.
Also over time part of this position is to create, amend/modify engineering drawings using various software packages, measuring and quality checking finished parts, ensuring process route cards are kept up to date for each manufactured component.
We have a large number of customers; which in turn means that we also have a large number of products we make for them. Our product database includes over 25,000 items. Our sales team deal with this high level of variety on a daily basis. So to be successful at the role, you will need the following skills:

• the ability and willingness to pitch in where needed
The role is requires extensive use of a computer so it is important that you are comfortable with using a PC. Specifically, we are looking for:
• general literacy with Windows-based PCs and networks
• general literacy with Internet and cloud-based software
• general literacy with MS Office and MS Excel in particular
• ability to learn new software and adapt to changes in processes
Beneficial skills but not essential as training will be provided include knowledge of Coreldraw, Draftsight/Autocad, Adobe Illustrator and/or any machine operator experience.
We have no required qualifications for this role. However, we expect that applicants will probably have:
• GCSE A*-C
• NVQ in business and administration or other sales and/or administration training
Our working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 4:30 and Friday 7:30 – 1:30. Our Workshop is closed on all Bank Holidays and between Christmas and New Year. We offer some flexibility in your shift pattern to suit your personal circumstances if needed.
