Mech Tech Professionals is looking to recruit an Electrician for our client in Buckinghamshire.
Our client is one of the UK largest food businesses supplying key supermarket and restaurant chains across the UK.
Due to continued demands, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to be based at their Hatchery in Quainton, Buckinghamshire. Our client has ambitious growth plans, and are continually investing in their facilities and people, with opportunities to develop and build a long-term career.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the main purpose of the role will be to manage the day-to-day maintenance of the hatchery machinery and equipment.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Complete PPM checks
* Carry out maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
* Attend breakdowns
* Work alongside contractors
* Monitor and keep stocks of mechanical/electrical spares
* Ensure Health and Safety standards are always maintained
* Conduct improvement projects as agreed with manager
* Assist the hatchery team in the hatching process as and when required
To be considered for this role, we require the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Good level of English and basic numeracy skill
* 17th Edition of IEE wiring regulations essential, (18th Edition desirable)
* Experience of single and three phase supplies
* The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
* Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
* Knowledge of facilities maintenance, PLC’S, automated controls and safety compliance would be an advantage
* Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable
Working Hours:
Mon – Fri 06.00 am – 3.30 pm
Onsite cover will also be required 1 in 5 from Fri 3.30pm until Sunday 3.30pm – call out rate of 1.5 applies.
During this time, you would be required to stay within 15 mins of the Hatchery.
Due to Bird Welfare, it is essential that you do not own any Avian Pets or Poultry
